Photographs differ in subject, as do the magazine cover stories. The range can be vast – politics, sports, entertainment, disasters, technology, social concerns, food, cuisine, fashion, comical situations, serious concerns, health, education or nature, all things great and small.

The scale and focus could also be different – local to state, national and international, or rural or urban, or glamor or plain and truthful reporting. There exists a place for every slot and every setting. It is therefore essential for you to understand the market for your work. After knowing your market, it is much easier to find potential customers for your work.

First, compare and assess your work

Before approaching suitable magazines, first study the photographs already published in the magazines that are relevant to your category of work. Make an honest comparison of the work you want to submit to those magazines. After an impartial assessment, if you feel your work is as good as the work published, then you are ready to approach the magazines.

Care to be taken while submitting your work

Write or send a mail to the magazine’s photo editor giving a brief idea of your work. Give the details of your website in your mail, if you have one. It is easier for the photo editor to visit the site and view your work. While sending photographs by post, attach a stamped self-addressed envelope to ensure return, in the case that it is not accepted.

The monetary aspect

The money offered for accepted work depends upon the magazine management. There are well-paying ones and also lower-paying magazines. However, sometimes there is a general structure of fees common between several magazines. If they place your shot in the cover page, you will get paid the most for your photograph. The double center spread is a close second.

The points to look for, while sending your work:

It is in your best interest not to send your work to any other magazines after selling it to one magazine. If you get caught for doing that, it is likely that you will lose the magazine as your customer permanently. Also, understand some basic things such as the copyright laws. Whenever you click a photograph, it carries your own copyright. Generally, the custom is that a magazine can publish a photograph for one-time use. Therefore, if they are publishing the same photograph twice in a period of five months, you must be paid by them again, the second time.

Cosmopolitan Berlin is famous for being one of the global centres of art and culture in the world with many galleries, museums in addition to being a popular choice for regular exhibitions from around the world gender. Berlin is home to a staggering 153 galleries and museums so if you are looking for something in special you should definitely spend a little bit of time doing research. But to get started here are some of the more popular ones.

1. Altes Museum (Old Museum) – Built between 1823 and 1830 and then restored in 1966, the Altes Museum is one of Berlin and indeed Germany’s most famous museums. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for it’s famous neoclassical style and among many other exhibitions displaying the antique collection of the Berlin State Museums.

2. Neues Museum (New Museum) – In a city of modern architecture one might imagine a new museum cutting impressive modern lines over the city, not so with Berlin’s Neues Museum. Built only shortly after the Altes Museum (Old Museum) between 1843 and 1845 and only officially reopening in 2009 after a very lengthy rebuilding process after being nearly leveled in World War II the museum features many Early History and Egyptian collections, including the bust of ancient Egyptian Queen Nefertiti.

3. Gemäldegalerie (Picture Gallery) – Holding one of the most renowned collections of European art from the 13th to the 18th centuries, the Gemäldegalerie is internationally respected as one of the leading galleries in the world. First opened in 1830 and reconstructed in 1988 the gallery itself is organised in a horseshoe around a large meditation hall, and the collection is organised in a chronological order which makes for a a very interesting walk through.

4. Neue Nationalgalerie (New National Gallery) – More along the ideas of what many would consider to be a ‘new’ looking gallery, the building although built in 1968 is a very modern affair just like the many exhibitions that are housed inside it each year. The Neue Nationalgalerie focuses generally on modern German art.

5. Museum für Naturkunde (Natural History Museum) – Built in 1810, the museum is the largest for natural history in Germany. Home to exhibitions from paleontology, mineralogy and zoology – it features the biggest reconstructed dinosaur skeleton in the world amongst many other nature displays.

An interested visitor could care to spend months roaming all the galleries and museums in Berlin, there is just so much to see so make sure you do your research before visiting. That is why all of them can be viewed in one day. If you do not like to walk a lot, a taxi will help you.

The Boston Children’s Museum is filled with hands-on interactive exhibits and activities that entertain kids while they learn about the world around them. But what does that really mean? Here are three concrete reasons why kids love this museum – and why you should visit it when you’re in Boston:

1. Fascinating exhibits for all ages. Almost as soon as you walk into the museum, you’ll see the “New Balance Climb” – a gigantic 3-story high maze of tunnels, platforms, ledges, tubes, and chutes, made child-safe with lots of netting. Kids from about 3 to 10 love to spend hours climbing through it and perfecting their balancing skills.

But that’s only the beginning. Junior builders can make all kinds of things at “Johnny’s Workbench,” a construction area filled with real tools and supplies generously donated by Home Depot. Over in the “Science Playground,” younger children explore the world of bubbles while their parents relax and snap photos of the iridescent spheres floating through the air. Slightly older children test what happens when they drop golf balls into cylinders and tracks – not realizing that they’d demonstrating concepts such as momentum and velocity that they’ll encounter later in science classes at school.

Even the youngest museum goers – infants and toddlers – will find an exhibit area just for them where they can safely work on their crawling skills and enjoy the movements of a water bed.

2. Special programs. At “KidStage,” the museum’s performance area, professional actors and museum staff stage performances with music, dancing, and comedy. Best of all, kids in the audience get to participate and experience being on stage themselves. Lots of other special programs are also hosted here, so you never know what you’ll find to enjoy.

3. The Boston Children’s Museum store. In addition to offering a big array of reasonably priced games, puzzles, science kits, and books, the museum store has an extremely popular “recycling” center. Area businesses donate scraps – everything from pieces of fabric, paper, and plastics to bits of wood, twine, and other building supplies. The selection changes constantly, which is part of the fun as you find treasures for your next art and craft projects. You fill up a bag and pay by the pound.

The Boston Children’s Museum is open 363 days a year, and is located in the South Boston Waterfront area, a short 5-10 minute walk from Boston’s South Station and downtown Financial District. Best for children up to about 10 year old.

There are a lot of ways to get traffic from Google and they all involve a lot of work and requires some skills. You don’t need to have any SEO skills to get free traffic from Google maps. It is also a great way to show your selves or the product you are promoting to list it properly with Google maps. Google have three kind of maps on the first page. They have a ten box, ten listings on the map, a three box and even a one box (if you get this one you are dominating your niche). If you have a business in a bigger city in the US you can literally have hundreds and even thousand’s of visitor’s every day. There are also ways to do this without having a physical business present but we will go deeper in to this subject in our upcoming e-book to our subscribers.

So here is the drill:

* The first you thing you do is to create a Google account or a Gmail account.

* Add a new listing in your “maps” tab once you are logged in to “Google local business center”. Here you need to fill in as much as you can, important. Upload pictures, add videos if you have. As much as you have, but remember to keep it relevant to your business.

* It is an advantage if you have your own website.

* As category’s choose keywords relevant to your business. So if you for instance are promoting “weather cleanser”, use “water cleanse” and “cleanse water” in the categories.

* You need an actual phone number to verify your listing and if you don’t have a physical business in your city don’t worry. You can get a phone number from a many different sources but we prefer skype and Vumber. With skype you can receive calls directly on your computer. You also wanna fill in relevant information under “additional information”.

* Then press “continue” you will be asked how to verify and if you use phone Google will call you right away to give you a verify code. Once this is done you are all set – so far.

* Google will cross reference your listing with a number of other additional listings, so you do wanna list your business with a number of other sites. Here are a list of where I list our business (this is if you have a business in the US, if you don’t use similar sites where you are located):

superpages.com
listings.yellowpages.com
infousa.com
localeze.com
mapreporter-test.navteq.com
biz.yelp.com
citysearch.com
insiderpages.com
local.yahoo.com

It will take from 30-60 days before your listing are accepted at some of these sites so it won’t make you a millionaire tomorrow, but this small effort can give you some extra free organic traffic from Google maps.

For years now there have been publications of research into the merits of music on early childhood and even in the womb development. Many researches on the subject have hypothesized that listening to certain kinds of music and learning instruments can vastly improve the brain development in children and even make them smarter.

From a scientific point of view a lot of the theories can be backed up. It makes sense that there are a lot of skills involved in learning to play an instrument. It requires the understanding of long sections of music, a complex symbolic notation system, and bimanual control of the instrument. It’s irrefutable that learning these requires good memory, motor functions and the ability to understand rhythm, timing and a system much like a foreign language. At a young age children’s brains are like sponges and to add learning such skills early on could only benefit a child.

Slightly more theoretically based is the belief that hearing complex musical pieces can actually improve a child’s intelligence. There have been numerous researches done into this area with interesting results. One such research project resulted in the buzz word ‘Mozart Effect’. It is a widely heard theory that listening to Mozart can make a child smarter. Mozart is regularly used as the prime example because of the complexity of his pieces.

While there is no concrete evidence to support this, there are an abundance of theories about how it may help brain development. Listening to complex, multi instrumental pieces is likely to effect the child’s understanding of rhythm and could assist in developing more attentive listening. This in turn could likely improve a child’s focus and attention span making it easier for them to absorb information in later life.

An online training library is a library full of resources that can help you learn new skills. These skills often help the user learn how to use new software programs, how to be more efficient with specific hardware, or just how to do a job that they would like to do. This is a truly fantastic resource for information no matter what you want to learn or what you currently know. There are a lot of benefits to learning in this manner, more benefits than a lot of people realize.

First and foremost, when you learn in this manner you are able to pinpoint what sort of training that you need. If you go to a local community college or even a university to learn something new the information that you want to learn may be paired up with things that you already know or that you don’t need to know. When you learn through a library you are able to pick and choose what information you spend your time on.

Another great benefit to using an online computer training library is that you can get courses on your level and you can learn the way you learn best. If you like to take your time and repeat lessons several times before you move on, you will be able to do this until you grasp the concepts or the skills. If you pick up on new things quickly, then you can speed through the lessons and move at your own pace so you don’t get bored and you can continue to challenge yourself.

Another really nice aspect of these online libraries is that you can choose when you want to get your training. If you don’t have the time to learn anything new until you have prepared dinner, cleaned the house, and gotten the kids in bed that is not a problem. If your free time is in the morning that is acceptable too. When you want to learn the training will be there and you can use it!

Using a training library is a very cost effective way to get more information and training. While you might have to pay for each of the online trainings that you choose, you won’t have to pay nearly as much as you would for every credit hour that you complete at your local university or community college. If you want to get the training but you don’t want to spend more than you have to, this is a great way to learn!

When you want to lean how to speak in Spanish fast the experience does not always have to be traumatic. There are some really fun ways in which you can learn how to speak Spanish fast and easy. There are many websites that offer Spanish lessons online which should be considered. You can also signup with a language school. In order to lean how to speak in Spanish you need to have the will to dedicate some time to lean. This is regardless of whether you are enrolled in a class or whether you are trying to lean Spanish via videos and auto CDs. When it comes to learning Spanish the best way to speed up the process as with learning any other language is to practice.

Speaking practice is something that will not only increase your Spanish vocabulary but will also improve your fluency. However speaking Spanish requires that you speak with either a person that speaks really good Spanish or you should speak with a Spanish speaker who is a native. When you speak and practice with a native Spanish speaker who is also your teacher you get to learn little things that non natives cannot teach you. Since most natives have been speaking since they start speaking when they were kids its easier for them to spot errors in your fluency as well as your word usage.

Another advantage of having a native Spanish speaking teacher is that he or she will also fill you in on the latest slang and acronyms used by native speakers. This might not seem like much but it certainly makes the whole learning process more fun and practical. This is something you might not be able to get from people who are not native Spanish speakers or those who have just learnt how to speak in Spanish themselves. If you are looking to learn to speak a foreign language the best way is always to immerse yourself in the country, or surround yourself with people who are fluent in the tongue. Learning to speak Spanish is a very popular course for lots of people to take.
